Overview

The report is AECI's first Integrated Report, covering the year ended 31 December 2011 and combining Group strategy, sustainability, risk and financial performance. It highlights the launch of Green Gauge, a Group-wide environmental framework with 2020 objectives covering water, waste, energy and carbon footprint. The Sustainability Report records lower Group water consumption of 4 748 000 m3, hazardous waste of 5 920 tonnes and six significant environmental incidents. Safety performance deteriorated, including a fatality at the Resitec Brazilian joint venture, while AECI reported a CDP disclosure score of 83%.
