Corporate Responsibility Report

The report presents AEGON's 2008 corporate responsibility performance across its global operations and thirteen reporting countries. It reports a year-end workforce of 31,425 employees and environmental data including 3% renewable energy use, 487,030 Cubic meters of water consumption and 4,516 Metric tonnes of waste generation. The report also describes group-level corporate responsibility governance, a stakeholder panel, GRI G3 reporting and commitments including the Carbon Disclosure Project and UN Global Compact.
