Integrated Annual Report

The report presents Aegon's 2019 performance as a year of lower operational emissions and continued energy transition, with 59,275 metric tons of gross/location-based GHG emissions and 75% of total energy from renewable sources. It reports a year-end workforce of 23,757 employees and extensive non-financial performance metrics. Aegon also strengthened group-level responsible-business governance through the new Responsible Business and Investment Committee and disclosed its climate risks and opportunities using the TCFD framework. The report further maps activities to selected UN Sustainable Development Goals and describes carbon neutrality of wholly owned operations.
