Overview

The report is Afarak's first CSRD sustainability report, covering consolidated operations in Germany, South Africa and Turkey. It reports 2024 gross Scope 1, location-based Scope 2 and partial Scope 3 emissions, with Scope 3 totaling 71,320 tCO2e across categories 1, 3, 4 and 5. Total energy consumption was 117,842 MWh and total water consumption 5,659,047 m3, while waste generated totaled 31,412 tons. The Board report also records two fatal accidents involving subcontractor workers in South African mines.
