Environmental, Social and Governance Report

The report presents AIA’s first ESG disclosure for 2016, prepared using the GRI G4 Core option and accompanied by the Group’s UN Global Compact communication. It reports 56,551 tonnes of group GHG emissions and total energy consumption of 87,715,871 kWh. The workforce exceeded 20,000 employees, with women representing 59% of employees. Community programmes received over HK$30 million and benefited more than 135,000 people.
