Overview

The report presents AIST's FY2021 research and social-impact activities, including integrated projects on resource circulation, healthcare, infrastructure inspection and infection-risk evaluation. It reports environmental data such as 2,057 TJ of energy, 100,000 t-CO2 greenhouse gas emissions and 2,061 t of waste. Workforce disclosures cover 11,069 staff, diversity actions and an 8.6% female-manager proportion. It also describes new management structures, collaboration platforms and technology-transfer activities aimed at making AIST the core of a national innovation ecosystem.
