The report explains that AkzoNobel's sustainability reporting uses controlled entities as the global boundary while excluding Grupo Orbis from several 2022 KPIs. It describes a materiality assessment based on severity and likelihood, reviewed by the Sustainability Council and Executive Committee. It also documents a cradle-to-grave footprint covering Scope 1, Scope 2 and selected Scope 3 categories, calculated in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
