Overview

The report presents ALDI's Global Sustainability Strategy across six dimensions: Human Rights; Climate, Agriculture, and Sustainable Products; Animal Welfare; Healthy Nutrition; Food Waste; and Circularity and Sustainable Packaging. It reports progress including 76% of business volume from A/B-rated suppliers in high-priority commodity groups, 100% certification for bananas and pineapples, 83% diversion of food and operational waste, and 77% packaging reusable, recyclable or compostable. The climate KPI is labeled Global - 2022 and tracks progress toward a 90% Scope 1+2 reduction by 2035 against a 2021 baseline. Reporting covers own-brand products and excludes some national operations during an IT transition.
