Overview

The report describes Algoma's 2019 sustainability performance across fleet emissions, safety, environmental management, people and community engagement. It reports 311 Thousands of Tonnes of GHG emissions for the domestic dry-bulk and tanker fleets and a company target to reduce carbon intensity by 25% by 2025. The report also records 17 lost time injuries and zero fatalities in 2019, while highlighting the implementation of ISO 45001 and ongoing waste-diversion initiatives. Sustainability governance is assigned to senior management and overseen by the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee of the Board of Directors.
