Overview

The report describes Ambuja Cements' 2019 sustainability performance across climate, circular economy, community development and safety. It reports a 31.26% reduction in specific net carbon footprint against 1990 levels and 7.9% renewable energy in total power generation. Circular-economy activities consumed about 8.7 million tonnes of waste-derived alternative fuels and raw materials. Community programmes reached over 2.6 million people, while safety indicators improved despite one onsite fatality.
