Integrated Annual Report

The report presents Anglo American's 2020 performance across financial, environmental and social priorities. It reports 16.1 million tonnes of CO2e emissions and total energy consumption of 81 million GJ, while committing to carbon neutrality across operations by 2040. Safety remained a critical issue: the Group recorded two work-related fatalities at managed operations despite describing 2020 as its best-ever safety year. Sustainability oversight is assigned to the Board through its Sustainability Committee.
