Overview

The report presents AngloGold Ashanti's 2020 sustainability performance across its global mining operations, with 36,952 average employees and six occupational fatalities. It highlights a 48% reduction in absolute carbon emissions since 2007 and reports 2,337 kilotonnes of GHG emissions and 25.57 petajoules of energy consumption. Water disclosures include 64,730ML consumed through evaporation, entrainment and other task losses. Selected sustainability KPIs were independently assured by EY.
