Sustainability Report

The report describes 2012 sustainability performance across Antofagasta plc's mining, railway and water divisions. It highlights externally verified mining GHG data, with Scope 1 and 2 emissions of 2.07 million tonnes CO2e, and reports one worker fatality at Michilla. Water reuse reached 85% at Los Pelambres, while El Tesoro's solar thermal plant began operating and was expected to reduce diesel consumption by 55%.
