Sustainability Report

The report presents Maersk's 2011 Group-level sustainability performance across health and safety, human rights, labour principles, environmental stewardship, anti-corruption and value chain management. It reports 117,080 full-time equivalents, 13 fatalities in the consolidated performance table, total energy consumption of 522,487,533 GJ and GHG emissions of 41,059 1,000 tonnes CO2 eq. The company also set a Group target to reduce relative CO2 emissions by at least 10% by 2020 against a 2010 baseline, and describes its UN Global Compact LEAD participation, GRI G3 reporting and KPMG limited assurance.
