Overview

The report describes Apple's carbon neutrality for worldwide operations in 2020 and its commitment to become carbon neutral across its entire footprint by 2030. It highlights 11.4 million megawatt-hours of supplier clean energy generated in fiscal year 2020 and 8.6 million metric tons of avoided supply-chain carbon emissions. The report also details progress in recycled materials, water stewardship, zero waste, and smarter chemistry. Selected environmental data and the supplier clean-energy program were independently assured by Apex, while product-related carbon and fiber and plastic footprints were reviewed by Fraunhofer IZM.
