Sustainability Report

The report presents Aquafil's circular ECONYL regeneration system, which turns fishing nets, old carpets, and textile waste into regenerated nylon. In 2019, the Group reported 17 facilities in 8 countries, 2,893 employees, 37,932 training hours, and 70% of total energy from renewable sources. Group greenhouse gas emissions were 51,512 tCO 2 eq, a 58% reduction compared with 2016. Aquafil also obtained SA 8000 certification and introduced a sustainability plan built around five ECO PLEDGE® pillars.
