Overview

The report presents ARAUCO's 2018 economic, social and environmental performance across controlled operations in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, the United States and Canada. It highlights a workforce of 17,252 employees and 23,673 contract workers, alongside implementation of its safety model; it also records two contract-worker fatalities. Environmentally, the report gives a 2017 GHG footprint of 4,219,132 tCO2e excluding fires and reports that 95% of 2018 pulp energy came from renewable sources. Community activities included more than 50 programs and engagement across over 220 communes.
