Sustainability Report

The report presents ASML's 2009 sustainability performance across global operations, with environmental data showing 773 x 10^12 Joule of total energy use and 80.0 x 10^6 kg of CO2 emissions. It reports a year-end workforce of 6,548 payroll FTEs plus 1,137 temporary FTEs, alongside detailed workplace, safety, supply-chain and community programs. ASML also set a corporate target to reduce CO2 emissions by 50 percent by 2015 from a 2010 base. BECO Group provided moderate external assurance over the 2009 Sustainability Report.
