Overview

The report describes Aspen's 13th consecutive year of earnings growth, with revenue from continuing operations rising 29% to R12,4 billion. The Group's workforce reached 6 319 employees at 30 June 2011 following international expansion and the Sigma acquisition. Sustainability disclosures cover Group resource use, including 477 351kl of water used, energy consumption and South African Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Aspen also continued substantial community healthcare and HIV/AIDS initiatives through its CSI programme.
