Social Responsibility Report

Overview

The report presents AT&T's 2006 social-responsibility work across governance, community engagement, innovation, diversity, and environment, health and safety. It highlights the newly combined AT&T Foundation, which contributed more than $101 million in 2005 and had more than $1.7 billion in cumulative philanthropic commitment. It reports a 50-state workforce that was 45 percent female and describes environmental governance through the Board's Public Policy and Environmental Affairs Committee and Executive Environmental Council. It also notes 10 percent and 20 percent reductions in annual gasoline- and diesel-fuel consumption from 2001 to 2004.
