Overview

The report presents Aurubis' Sustainability Strategy as an integrated part of its corporate strategy, balancing economy, environment and people across the value chain. For 2012/13, the Group reports 6,563 employees, bulk energy input of 3.517 TWh, and 2012 water use of 79.7 million m3. It reports approximately 119,000 t of waste generated in copper production and no work-related fatalities. The report also sets group-wide environmental targets, including a reduction of 100,000 t of CO2 through energy-efficiency projects and internal electricity production by 2018.
