Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report

The report presents Balfour Beatty's 2008 worldwide corporate responsibility performance, including 307,187 tonnes of CO2 emissions, 833,425 tonnes of waste for disposal, and 1,685,801 m3 of water consumption. It reports eight worker fatalities and describes the Zero Harm programme targeting zero deaths and injuries. The report also includes a GRI content index and an independent stakeholder-panel assurance process covering ethics, health and safety, environment, community and people.
