Sustainability Report

The report sets out Balfour Beatty's Group-wide sustainability vision and 2020 roadmap, covering 31 issues across 10 focus areas. It reports 2009 environmental and safety performance, including 85% waste diversion, 2,101,000 m3 of water consumption, 383,400 tonnes of carbon emissions, and three fatalities. A new materiality process and external review of the sustainability programme and performance data are also described.
