Annual Report and Accounts

The report describes Balfour Beatty's 2018 progress in safety, climate and resource management. It reports no fatalities directly resulting from the Group's activities, while two subcontractor colleagues died in third-party site incursions. Absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions fell to 224,430 tonnes of CO2e, and more than 2,258,033 tonnes of waste were avoided from landfill. The report also sets a 50% intensity-reduction goal for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2020 against a 2010 baseline.
