Annual Report and Accounts

The report describes the launch of Building New Futures sustainability strategy in December 2020, with 2030 targets for carbon, waste and social value and 2040 ambitions to go beyond net zero carbon, generate zero waste and positively impact more than one million people. It reports 2020 Scope 1 and 2 emissions of 205,517 tonnes CO2e on a location-based basis, while market-based emissions intensity was 18.4 tonnes CO2e per £m revenue. The Group reported 25,684 employees at year-end and four colleague fatalities plus one fatality in a joint-venture partner workforce.
