Overview

The report describes Bank Hapoalim's 2021 ESG activity across climate finance, environmental management, social inclusion, employee well-being, and governance. The bank reports NIS 13 billion of credit balances for projects promoting a green environment and a total operational carbon footprint of 41,003 metric tonnes CO2eq, including all three scopes. It also describes a climate-risk management framework and a decision to stop financing new oil and coal exploration and production projects. Board-level review of ESG progress, the ESG report, and future work plans is disclosed.
