Sustainability Report

The report presents Banpu's 2012 sustainability performance across coal operations in Indonesia and power operations in China, with a Sustainable Development Committee overseeing group performance. It reports 4,603 employees and 3.47 million tonnes CO2e of greenhouse gas emissions, alongside environmental initiatives covering energy, water, land rehabilitation, and biodiversity. It also records two contractor fatalities in 2012 and describes actions to strengthen contractor safety management.
