Overview

The report describes Banyan Tree's 2007 group-wide CSR expansion through the Seedlings youth mentorship, scholarship and internship programme, Greening Communities tree planting, and resource-conservation initiatives. It reports over 11,600 trees planted in the first year and highlights resort-based conservation research, including the Bintan Conservation Lab. Community projects ranged from schools and English-language training to support for anti-trafficking and mental-health employment initiatives.
