Annual Report

The report covers Barloworld's 2008 group operations and presents a sustainability report structured around its 10 Pillars of Sustainability. It reports total group emissions of 212 008 CO2e tons and total energy inputs of 83 552 MWH electricity plus 47.1 ML fuel. The group completed a BBBEE transaction that effectively empowered 29% of its South African assets and reported 19 668 employees at September 2008. It also reports three work-related deaths and limited independent assurance over selected indicators by Deloitte & Touche.
