Overview

The report presents Barloworld's 2013 integrated performance across financial, environmental and social dimensions. Group revenue rose 11% to R65 102 million, while energy consumption increased 48% to 2 838 435 GJ and Scope 1 and 2 emissions reached 267 624 tCO2e. The group reported 19 692 employees and three fatalities, alongside a 12% efficiency-improvement target for non-renewable energy and Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2014. Sustainability disclosures cover materiality, stakeholder engagement, environmental stewardship, responsible value-chain management and community investment.
