Overview

The report describes Baxter's 2000 sustainability performance across its economic, social and environmental programs. It highlights a global workforce of 42,000, $6.9 billion in sales and continued expansion of access to critical medical therapies. Environmentally, Baxter piloted the GHG Protocol, reported 0.65 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalents in 2000 and cut emissions 87 percent from 1990 on an absolute basis.
