Overview

The report describes Bayer's 2021 sustainability performance across climate, people and societal impact. It reports 1.93 million metric tons of Scope 1 emissions, 1.56 million metric tons of location-based Scope 2 emissions and 8.94 million metric tons of Scope 3 emissions. Bayer sets a net-zero greenhouse-gas target across its entire value chain by 2050 and aims for climate neutrality at its own sites by 2030. The company also reports 99,637 employees and €42 million in charitable donations and social-impact programs worldwide.
