Corporate Citizenship Report

Overview

The report describes BCE's 2002 corporate citizenship activities across community investment, environmental management, customer responsibility and employee support. It reports 61,478 BCE employees excluding CGI, more than $35 million invested in training and development, and at least 226,923 employee and retiree volunteer hours. Environmental highlights include recovering 5,740 tonnes of recyclable materials and recycling administrative-operation materials and obsolete batteries, while women represented about 44% of Bell Canada's management ranks.
