Sustainability Report

The report describes BD's 2009 sustainability strategy across society, workforce, product responsibility, environment and performance. It highlights 2015 operational goals to reduce energy, water and waste impacts and increase renewable energy use. BD reports 525,658 metric tons of combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions for 2009. Sustainability oversight is assigned to the Board of Directors, while the Office of Global Sustainability coordinates data, targets and communications.
