Sustainability Report

The report describes BD's 2010 sustainability performance across its global operations, including 26 percent renewable energy use and progress against its 2015 environmental targets. It reports greenhouse gas reductions of 22 percent on an absolute basis and 30 percent on a normalized basis. The company also donated $18.5 million in cash grants and products to global health and humanitarian organizations. BD's workforce comprised approximately 29,000 associates in more than 50 countries.
