Sustainability Report

The report presents BD's fiscal 2016 sustainability performance across four focus areas: Innovation, Access, Efficiency and Empowerment. It reports a 58% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions from 2008 levels and 43% renewable energy use against a 2020 goal of 50%. BD also describes global health partnerships, more than 40,000 associates and a board with four female directors out of 13. The appendix provides FY16 emissions, energy, water and waste tables, while the GRI G4 index states that the framework was used as guidance rather than for rigid reporting.
