The report describes Bellway's 2008 sustainability work as focused on land reuse and resource efficiency. It reports that 79% of developments were built on brownfield sites, 30% of homes used timber frame, and 106,000 tonnes of demolition material was recycled. The KPI table records 2,868 tonnes of plasterboard recycled and 46 lost-time accidents, down from 48 in 2007.
