The report presents Bertelsmann's 2019 GRI disclosures and consolidated environmental data collected across 336 companies at 520 locations. It reports that portfolio-adjusted Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions had fallen 24 percent against 2014 by 2019, and that the Executive Board decided the company should become carbon-neutral by 2030. Group energy consumption was 1,573 GWh and total waste was 296,000 tons.
