The report says BESIX’s 2023 double materiality assessment identified 13 sustainability topics relevant to its business and stakeholders, and that its SDG focus expanded to include SDG 3. Its roadmap organizes sustainability commitments across business, people, environmental and societal engagements. For its European business unit and dedicated entities, the report describes carbon neutrality targets for Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2050 and an interim 40% turnover-based reduction target by 2030 from a 2019 baseline. The group also says it is preparing for future CSRD compliance and ESRS reporting.
