Overview

The report presents Borregaard's 2012 corporate responsibility across its biorefinery model, environment, health and safety, employees, suppliers and society. It reports 1.87 TWh of group energy consumption, with around 70% of thermal energy supplies based on renewable sources and energy recovery from waste. Group CO2 emissions amounted to 142,000 tons, while Sarpsborg waste fell to 4,204 tons. The report also highlights 1,050 employees, three women among seven board members, and NOK 140 million in total tax cost.
