Overview

The report covers BP's 2016 sustainability performance across climate action, safe operations, human rights, local environmental impacts and responsible operations. It reports 50.1 MteCO2 equivalent of direct GHG emissions, 74,500 employees and three workforce fatalities, while group freshwater consumption was 87 million m3. BP highlights natural gas, renewables and methane-management activities, and reports three female directors on a 14-member board. The report applies GRI G4 guidelines, reports against the UN Global Compact principles and includes limited assurance by Ernst & Young.
