The report presents Brookfield Renewable's 2022 ESG performance for financially controlled entities, highlighting an 18% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 market-based emissions from the 2020 base year and a 2030 net-zero target for existing renewable operations. It reports 3,475 megawatts of new clean energy commissioned, 3,340 employees, 6,782,807 m3 of water consumption and 25,160 t of waste generated. Scope 3 reporting was expanded to material value-chain sources, with limited assurance by EY covering Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 Category 15 emissions.
