Overview

The report describes Boston Properties' 2015 sustainability strategy and performance across energy, emissions, water, waste, green buildings and community involvement. It reports a 15% energy-use-intensity goal, a 20% Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse-gas-intensity goal, and a 65% waste-diversion goal, all targeted for 2020 against a 2008 baseline. 2015 KPIs include 275,200 MTCO2e of absolute emissions, 31,225 Tons of waste and 59% waste diversion, alongside 15.8 Million Square Feet of LEED-certified floor area. The report also highlights renewable-energy projects, including the Bay Colony solar canopy developed under a power purchase agreement.
