Overview

The report presents Banco Montepio's 2022 sustainability strategy, ESG governance, environmental footprint, workforce profile and community-impact activities. It reports 1,350 t CO2e of Scope 1 emissions, 2,148 t CO2e of market-based Scope 2 emissions and a Scope 3 total of 1 225 723 t CO2e across seven categories. The bank had 3,029 employees and reported 58% women on the Board of Directors. The report also documents UN Global Compact membership, EU Taxonomy disclosures, TCFD alignment and Board-led sustainability oversight.
