Annual Report

The report presents AirAsia's 2016 performance across a large regional airline group, with 16,067 Allstars, 174 aircraft and 56.6 million passengers carried across the Group. It also describes the first systematic sustainability approach, including a three-phase materiality assessment that identified seven priority matters. The sustainability section quantifies 2016 aircraft and ground-services emissions and reports improved carbon efficiency. Operational initiatives included fleet renewal, fuel-saving procedures and aircraft maintenance programmes.
