Corporate Responsibility Report (Highlights)

Overview

The report presents Chevron's 2017 corporate responsibility highlights across governance, workforce, safety, climate, water, human rights and community investment. It reports six total workforce fatalities, 56 million metric tons of Scope 1 GHG emissions on an equity basis, and 809 trillion BTUs of total energy consumption. The report also describes formal issue prioritization, UN Guiding Principles-informed human-rights practices and multiple SDG contributions. LRQA provided reasonable assurance over reporting processes, while explicitly excluding verification of the accuracy of reported data.
