Sustainability Report

The report describes China Mobile's 2013 transformation around 4G, reporting operating revenue of 630.2 billion yuan and a workforce of 197,030 employees. It highlights a 38% reduction in comprehensive energy consumption per unit of telecommunication traffic and reported emissions of 11.67 million tonnes of CO2. The company also reports extensive rural connectivity, education, poverty alleviation, customer protection and environmental initiatives, supported by an independent limited assurance engagement over selected indicators.
