The report describes China Shenhua's 2011 CSR management across its integrated coal, power, railway, port and shipping operations. It reports 82,260 employees, comprehensive energy consumption of 3,509 10,000 tonnes of standard coal, and fresh water consumption of 142.0 million tonnes. Environmental priorities included RMB730 million invested in environmental protection, 86.6% average recovery in coal mining areas and expanded ecological construction. KPMG Huazhen provided limited assurance over the 2011 Social Responsibility Report.
