Overview

The report describes a Board-level ESG management system in which the Board evaluates ESG-related risks, reviews performance and approves ESG report disclosure. In 2018, China Telecom invested RMB674 million in energy conservation and emission reduction, while unit energy consumption per information flow was 5.91 kgce/TB. Total water consumption was 42.85 million tons, down by 1.30 million tons year on year, and over 100,000 tons of waste and used materials were recycled and disposed.
