Annual Report

The report describes Chugoku Electric's response to the discovery that some Shimane Nuclear Power Station equipment had been used beyond scheduled inspection dates, including investigations and recurrence-prevention measures. It sets an approximately 20% reduction target for CO2 emissions per unit of energy generation against FY1990, averaged over FY2008-FY2012. It reports approximately 917,000 tons of waste produced in FY2009, of which 908,000 tons was effectively utilized, and describes a planned 3 MW mega-solar station expected to generate about 3,340 MWh annually.
